Media Player Update from legalsoft.mypc-updater.com? Don't Be Fooled

"I notice that a pop-up of legalsoft.mypc-updater.com domain comes all the time. I already downloaded the update several times, but this pop-up doesn't stop."


Victim2:
"A page with the title of Media Player Update Recommended pops-up on my browser. I don't want to update any player, but I just can't shut the page successfully till I use Windows Task Manager."

Pop-up of  legalsoft.mypc-updater.com is offered by an adware. It is a fake message. The adware may come to your browser if you had visited malicious sites or installed some malicious freeware.

The adware aims to promote freeware and earn pay-per-download revenue. It offers low-quality software instead of real player updates, some of them are detected to be extremely dangerous. More and more unwanted programs will come and reduce your computer's performance if you blindly download software from such dubious sites. 

Remove legalsoft.mypc-updater.com yourself following the steps:

Step1. Stop the dubious running process

Step5. Open Registry Editor and remove registry entries
Start >> input regedit in the search box >>open  Registry Editor >>find the related date and remove them.
Notice: Skip this step if you are not familiar with Registry Editor. Use professional tools instead.
